Job summary

Bovis is recruiting a Deputy Security Controller for two major projects in Gloucester and Cirencester. You will be the primary contact for all security matters, ensuring compliance with UK government standards across information, personnel, physical and asset security.

The role is hands-on, primarily site-based with travel to sites and supplier offices. You will work with internal teams and external specialists to implement the Security Management Strategy and advise on risk mitigation and

Qualifications

• Experience in information security, physical security and compliance.
• Knowledge of government security standards (GovS007, JSP 440, NIS, Official Secrets Act, UK GDPR).
• Experience with security risk management, incident handling and audits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UK government security standards and contract requirements.
• Lead development of Security Management Plans aligned to government standards.
• Manage security policies, procedures and training across projects.
• Oversee secure handling, transfer and destruction of classified materials.
• Provide security risk management guidance including threat and intelligence analysis.
• Direct sub-contractors on security aspects on site during delivery.
• Perform audits and report on information and physical assets.
