Are you an experienced early years practitioner ready to step up into a leadership role? We are looking for a committed and confident Deputy Room Leader to help lead and inspire a team in a busy, high-quality nursery setting. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as Deputy Room Leader:
Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
Provide a high standard of care and education, in line with the EYFS
Lead the room in the absence of the Room Leader
Supervise and mentor other staff in the room
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene procedures are always followed
Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s development
Ideal Deputy Room Leader:
A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an early years setting
A good understanding of the EYFS and child development
Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills as a Deputy Room Leader
A warm, positive, and professional approach
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection (training provided if needed)
