We are an international organization operating in India, USA, and the UK. In the UK, all our nurseries are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted, located in London and Windsor. We are expanding, opening 1-2 new nurseries each year. At Kido, we integrate practices from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches into our unique curriculum for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We believe in a balanced approach of free and structured play, engaging environments, and loving care to provide a strong foundation for early childhood development. The Deputy Room Leader role offers a salary of up to £29,000 for a full-time 40-hour week. Benefits include:

Role responsibilities

As a Deputy Room Leader, you will embody our values and lead by example. You will co-manage your room alongside the Room Leader, ensuring high-quality learning experiences aligned with EYFS and our curriculum. You will observe, assess, and set goals for children, celebrate their achievements, and foster a nurturing environment that respects diversity. Your role involves planning indoor and outdoor activities that promote curiosity, exploration, and development, with excellent communication with parents and colleagues.

You will also support the team in maintaining outstanding standards and stepping in during the Room Leader’s absence, ensuring consistency and quality in care and education.

Qualifications and experience

  • Relevant childcare qualification, level 2 minimum (see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-qualifications-achieved-in-england)
  • Alignment with our core values: Listen, Learn, Lead
  • Experience as an educator, preferably as a Deputy Room Leader
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Ability to provide criminal record disclosures as part of our Safer Recruitment process
