N Family Club in Forest Hill, London is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to lead a warm, inclusive team and deliver the N Pedagogy and Curriculum with passion.

You will champion safeguarding, oversee EYFS compliance, safety, and risk assessments, coach staff, help with staffing, rotas, and appraisals, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a nursery leadership position.
• Experience in retaining and hiring new team members.
• Knowledge of UK local authority and inspection processes.
• Experience managing budgets and team deployment.
• Background in leading excellent customer service.
• Paediatric First Aid and First Aid at Work training.
• Safeguarding/child protection training and renewal willingness.
• Passion for education and child development.
• Able to communicate effectively with parents and staff.
• Solid decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for the team.
• Support the Nursery Manager and deliver education per the N Pedagogy and Curriculum.
• Champion safeguarding and wellbeing; act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when needed.
• Oversee health and safety, risk assessments, and EYFS compliance.
• Coach, guide, and motivate the team through feedback and development.
• Assist with staffing – interviews, rotas, and room coverage.
• Promote continuous improvement and outstanding practice.
• Bring positivity, flexibility, and passion to the role.
