Job summary

N Family Club in Dulwich, London, is hiring an Assistant Deputy Manager to support the nursery management team and lead Educators to deliver outstanding education and exceptional customer service. You will take the lead on nursery operations when the Deputy Manager is away, shaping a culture of continuous improvement and an engaging learning environment.

Based in Dulwich, you will champion safeguarding, manage day-to-day operations, and drive the nursery's growth within the UK’s early-years

Qualifications

• Previous leadership in a nursery setting.
• Knowledge of UK regulatory requirements across the UK (desirable).
• Experience in budgeting, capacity and team deployment, performance management, and reporting metrics (desirable).
• Background in delivering consistent, exceptional customer service.
• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
• Paediatric First Aid (12 hours), First Aid at Work, and commitment to remain compliant.
• Safeguarding/child protection training with regular updates.
• Genuine passion for education and changing children's lives.
• Able to communicate effectively with parents, external professionals, colleagues, and children.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for the team.
• Partner with the Deputy Manager to deliver outstanding education aligned with the N Pedagogy and Curriculum.
• Champion safeguarding and wellbeing, acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead when needed.
• Ensure the nursery self-evaluation is up to date and actions are followed through.
• Keep the nursery's risk, health and safety checks up to date for smooth operations.
• Coach, guide, and motivate the team through feedback and development.
• Assist with staffing, rotas, and in-room coverage as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of practice.
• Bring positivity and flexibility to help N Family Club stay outstanding.
