Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in leading a dedicated team and maintaining high standards of care in a welcoming Early Years setting.

You will help deliver the EYFS-aligned curriculum, mentor practitioners, uphold safeguarding and health-and-safety requirements, and ensure the nursery runs smoothly in the Manager's absence. A passion for children's development is essential.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Safeguarding responsibilities familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the setting.
• Lead, motivate and mentor practitioners, encouraging high-quality Early Years practice.
• Ensure care and education are delivered consistently in line with the EYFS.
• Support the delivery of an engaging curriculum that encourages children's confidence and independence.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with staff supervision, development and daily staffing arrangements.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support Ofsted preparation and continuous improvement.
• Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence.
