Job summary

Flow Recruitment is representing a client in Liverpool seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to lead a nursery team and support high-quality childcare. You will implement EYFS, oversee planning and documentation, and build strong partnerships with parents and local authorities.

The role requires EYFS knowledge, safeguarding experience, and a current First Aid qualification, with opportunities for career progression and professional training in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent is required.
• Experience managing a room or team within a nursery.
• A management qualification is desirable but not essential.
• A current First Aid qualification, EYFS understanding and safeguarding knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the EYFS.
• Oversee planning and record-keeping.
• Promote partnerships with parents and carers.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies and other agencies.
• Stay updated with childcare and education policy developments; assist with nursery accounts and prepare for staff and parent meetings.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
• along with previous experience managing a room or team within a nursery setting
• While a formal management qualification is desirable, it is not essential
• A current First Aid qualification, a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures are required
