Outward in London is seeking a Deputy Manager on a 12-month maternity cover. This full-time role (38 hours per week) is based in North East London, offering a chance to blend direct care with service coordination and leadership.

You will support the Team Manager, help develop care plans, lead rotas, supervise staff, and ensure safeguarding and high-quality, person-centred care across services. A commitment to Outward’s values is essential.

Competenze

• Experience delivering person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs or complex support needs.
• Experience coordinating a staff team or senior support responsibilities with guidance to staff.
• Good safeguarding and risk management knowledge in a care setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety in supported housing or care environments.
• Ability to develop and review person-centred support plans and risk assessments, maintain records.
• Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and data protection principles.
• Clear verbal and written communication; ability to work with families and professionals.
• Strong organisational skills; prioritising workloads and coordinating rotas.
• Commitment to Outward’s values; ability to work across services, including evenings and weekends.
• Staff must have smartphone for secure system access; Right to Work in the UK.

• Carry out key working; develop and review support plans and risk assessments; liaise with families and professionals.

• Provide line management and supervision to support staff with development needs.
