A good day looks different for each person we support. It might mean making a decision for themselves, building a friendship, learning something new or feeling confident enough to try again. We are looking for a Deputy Manager who notices these things and helps a team make them possible. Living for Tomorrow is Catholic Care’s service for adults with learning disabilities and additional needs. Our direction is clear: people move through life, not services. We want support to change with each person, keeping their wishes, relationships and aspirations at the centre of decisions. You will work alongside the Registered Manager, providing visible leadership and spending time with the people we support and the staff who know them. You will help colleagues understand what good support looks like in everyday practice, address concerns promptly and make sure agreed improvements happen.
You will have experience at senior level in supported living or residential care, including supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
You will be able to explain how your leadership has made a difference to someone’s life and helped colleagues improve their practice.
A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Social Care, or willingness to work towards it, is desirable. The role includes participation in the on‑call rota and working flexibly to meet service needs.
You will join a charity where dignity and compassion guide our work, with regular supervision and personal development discussions to support you in your role.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who share our commitment to dignity, inclusion and the values of Catholic Care. You do not need to be Catholic to respect and work within our ethos.
Catholic Care is committed to safeguarding children and adults at risk. Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS disclosure.
