Job summary

MiChild Group is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager for Highfield Nursery in Blackpool. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with rotating early/mid/late shifts from 7:30 to 6:00. Salary is £14.50 per hour, plus MiChild benefits including childcare discount and learning hub access.

The successful candidate will support safeguarding, EYFS compliance, and staff development within a Good-rated setting. DBS checks and Right to Work in the UK are required.

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised).
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of EYFS and child development.
• Robust safeguarding knowledge and awareness.
• Confident communicator who builds relationships with children, parents and staff.

Highfield Nursery, proudly rated “Good” by Ofsted has a capacity of 51 children and has been part of the MiChild Family since 2020, Situated within Blackpool, close by to Blackpool Airport. We have 4 playrooms with a sensory room within our Preschool unit,. We are proud of our outdoor areas and have separate baby garden and preschool garden, this offers our children and staff boundless learning opportunities to engage in outdoor learning activities where we can become immersed in imaginative play outdoors.

What We’re Looking For:

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised)*
• Previous experience in a similar position
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and child development
• Robust safeguarding knowledge and awareness
• Passionate about inspiring little minds and providing the best possible care and education
• Confident communicator who easily builds relationships with children, parents and the team

**Please note this is a full time role for 40 hours per week**

Shift Patterns:

This role operates on a rotating weekly shift schedule to ensure coverage and flexibility.

• Early Shift: 7.30am -4.30pm
• Middle Shifts: 8.00am- 5.00pm or 8.30am- 5.30pm
• Late Shift: 9.00am-6.00pm
