Job summary

SuperCare Residential in London seeks an experienced deputy with Ofsted Residential Care background to assist the Registered Manager across multiple homes. You will deputise in absence, supervise staff, engage with young people, and address safeguarding and complaints while coordinating resources and finances.

You will collaborate with professionals to secure the best outcomes and ensure proper allocation of resources, contributing to a mission-driven team in London and the South East.

Qualifications

• A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• NVQ 3 / Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Residential experience.
• Team building and supervision skills.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Understanding the needs of young people who have experienced trauma including managing challenging behaviours.
• Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Registered Manager to manage the service's workforce and resources, promoting welfare of young people.
• Assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose.
• Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
• Support and manage staff to meet the needs of young people.
• Undertake direct work with young people as appropriate.
• Be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints.
• Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
• Ensure resources are allocated appropriately and financial records maintained.
