Job summary

SuperCare Residential is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to lead a Children's Residential Home in East London. You will work with the Registered Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure safeguarding, and deliver high-quality trauma-informed care for young people.

You will supervise staff, manage risk, contribute to care planning, liaise with external professionals, and support continuous improvement in service delivery.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is required.
• Experience in a Children Residential Home is preferred.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the home with the Registered Manager.
• Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager and run the service.
• Supervise staff to meet the needs of young people and maintain high care standards.
• Safeguard welfare of all young people and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Lead on child protection concerns, incidents and complaints per policy.
• Support care planning, risk assessments and accurate record keeping.
• Contribute to audits and continuous service improvement.
• Plan rosters and manage staffing levels for safe delivery.
