Job summary

Voyage Care in Gloucester is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead our ABI service with a hands-on, people-focused approach. You will guide a dynamic team to enhance residents' independence and quality of life, while ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

You’ll build person-centred plans, supervise staff, manage assessments, and contribute to on-call duties, reporting to the Registered Manager. A Level 3 in Health & Social Care supports this role.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in health & social care.
• Experience working with acquired brain injury (ABI) is preferred.
• Ability to lead a team and support individuals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of colleagues to help people gain daily independence.
• Develop and implement person-centred support plans and care needs assessments.
• Recruit, induct and supervise staff; conduct appraisals and training.
• Complete medication competencies and audits; attend multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Prepare reports and assist the Registered Manager in daily service operations.
• Participate in on-call rota as required.
