Job summary

Brunning and Price is seeking a Deputy Manager for The Mallard in Tidbury Green, opening Autumn 2026. You’ll help lead the team, manage busy services, and shape events as the pub reopens after refurbishment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pub team and run the busy operation.
• Plan and execute events to drive sales and guest satisfaction.
• Welcome and look after customers and coach the bar/waiting team.

Right now, The Mallard is undergoing an extensive transformation, with a full refurbishment bringing new life to this beautiful pub. Your Bread and Butter

• Basic up to £35,000 per yearplus tronc (that’s your card tips that are paid into your bank)

About You...

As Deputy Manager you'll be working alongside the Pub Manager helping to lead the team and run our busy pub. You'll be managing busy services, planning and running special events, welcoming and looking after customers as well as helping to train and lead our lovely bar/waiting team. You'll be drawing on your knowledge and experience to decide what beers, gins and wines we offer and how our events should be run. This is a hands on role where you’ll be at the heart of everything going on ensuring that things run smoothly. Weare immensely proud that many of our pub managers have been promoted from within. We want to carry on that success story, so you will be given plenty of trainingto develop your skills and progress your career.
