Job summary

Premier Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Deputy Manager to lead a domiciliary care branch in Sunderland. The role is permanent, full-time, with a basic salary of £30,000-£35,000 per annum.

You will support the Registered Manager, develop teams, maintain high standards of care, ensure CQC compliance, and drive service growth through quality, supervision and effective care planning. A driving licence and active involvement in local care delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Deputy Manager, Care Manager, Team Manager or Senior in domiciliary care.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality assurance.
• Experience leading and supporting care teams.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Level 5 Diploma desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day running of the domiciliary care service.
• Lead and develop the care and office teams.
• Oversee care planning, assessments, reviews and risk management.
• Support safeguarding concerns, incidents and investigations.
• Recruitment, training, supervision and performance management.
• Monitor quality through audits, spot checks and service reviews.
• Build relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Cover the service in the Registered Manager's absence.

We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a well-established domiciliary care branch in Sunderland, currently delivering just under 1,000 care hours per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong care professional to play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, supporting the Registered Manager while helping to drive quality, compliance and continued growth.

About the Role

• Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the domiciliary care service
• Help maintain high standards of quality and compliance with CQC regulations

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Care Manager, Team Manager or Senior within domiciliary/home care
• Good understanding of CQC regulations and compliance
• Experience leading and supporting care teams
• Strong knowledge of care planning, safeguarding and quality assurance
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and hands-on approach to management
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care would be desirable, although not essential
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
