Thwaites is seeking a Deputy Manager to join our busy Inn in Morecambe. You will work alongside the General Manager to deliver excellent hospitality and stand in for the GM when needed, ensuring smooth daily operations.

The role involves managing rotas, payroll budgets, and leading a team. Flexibility with shifts is required as the business operates all day, every day, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Proactive nature and good communication are essential.
• Experience in leading teams and providing leadership within a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Working with the GM to deliver hospitality and deputise in their absence.
• Overseeing rota control.
• Managing payroll budgets in line with targets.
• Taking responsibility for business operations on shift.
• Managing and developing staff skills.
• Being the point of contact for management issues.
• Hands-on service when needed, including food service, room reservations, and guest care.

Your day to day;

• Working alongside the GM to deliver fantastic hospitality and deputising in their absence
• Overseeing the control of rotas
• Managing payroll budgets in line with agreed targets
• Taking responsibility for all of the business operations when you are on shift
• Managing and developing the skills of your team
• Being the point of call for any management issues
• When needed, being hands on with food service, room reservations and looking after guests

Who are we looking for?

You will need to be proactive and a good communicator andensure the smooth running of the business.

Deputy Manager is a key part of our leadership team but you will also need to be comfortable with rolling up your sleeves and getting involved with service.

We need someone with previous experience of working within a busy, food-led operation – exposure to supervisory or management dutiesis essential.
