Job summary

Home Bargains Leicester is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead on the shop floor, support the team, and ensure the store runs smoothly. You’ll motivate colleagues, resolve customer queries, and step in during busy moments to maintain strong service.

This full-time, permanent role offers 44 hours per week, a 28-day annual leave allowance rising with service, a contributory pension, staff discounts, and access to training and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising medium to large retail teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.

Job Overview

• Lead by example, lift the team: As a hands‑on leader, you'll set the tone on the shop floor, motivating your team, jumping in where needed, and making sure everyone feels supported. Your energy and guidance help create a workplace where people enjoy coming to work and customers love to shop.

You'll coach your team through busy days, guide them to deliver great service, and keep standards high across the board.

• Experience supervising medium to large retail teams in a fast‑paced retail environment
• A proven track record of achieving significantly high weekly sales targets
• Experience managing a varied range of retail categories
• A strong understanding of store operations, performance management, and customer service
