Job summary

Vetro Recruitment in Manchester is seeking a Children’s Home Deputy Manager to help run a newly established home for children and young people with EBD. You will deputise for the Registered Manager, oversee staff recruitment and line-management, and ensure high standards of care and safety.

The role requires NVQ Level 3/4 in Children and Young People, strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children’s home in Manchester.

• Support with managing and recruiting a dedicated staff team.
• Ensure the home maintains high standards of care and safety for children and young people.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Promote a positive, nurturing environment that encourages the well-being and development of children and young people.

A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Deputy Manager to join their team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a newly established children's home that specialises in supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home operates safely and effectively, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people.
