Job summary

Acorn Pubs is recruiting a Deputy Manager for The Crooked Billet to lead a busy pub team from opening, setting culture and standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You’ll recruit, train and support staff while driving service excellence and coordinating events that celebrate our refreshed food, drink and hospitality identity.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality management or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team as Deputy Manager, upholding culture, standards and personality of the pub.
• Recruit and train staff, drive exceptional service, and play a key role in opening the pub successfully.
• Plan and run busy services, manage events, welcome customers and oversee bar and front-of-house operations.
• Decide on beers, gins and wines to offer and shape event formats to engage guests.

AsDeputy Manager,you’ll be a key part of the leadership team, working closely with the General Manager to establish the culture, standards and personality of the pub.

You’ll help recruit and develop the team, drive exceptional service and play a major role in making the opening a success.

About you...

As Deputy Manager you'll be working alongside the Pub Manager helping to lead the team and run our busy pub. You'll be managing busy services, planning and running special events, welcoming and looking after customers as well as helping to train and lead our lovely bar/waiting team. You'll be drawing on your knowledge and experience to decide what beers, gins and wines we offer and how our events should be run. This is a hands on role where you’ll be at the heart of everything going on ensuring that things run smoothly.
