Job summary

Voyage Care Ltd in Dover is seeking a Deputy Service Manager to lead our residential service with a compassionate, person-centred approach. You will guide a dynamic team to enhance the quality of life for the people we support, ensuring safe, planned care and smooth day-to-day operations.

The role requires prior care management experience and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care. You will recruit, coach and supervise staff, conduct needs assessments, and participate in on-call duties, with DBS

Qualifications

  • Previous management experience in care.
  • Level 3 Health & Social Care required.
  • Ability to lead a team and develop plans.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a team to help people gain more independence in daily life.
  • Developing and implementing person-centred support plans.
  • Conducting care needs assessments.
  • Recruiting and inducting new colleagues.
  • Completing medication competencies and audits.
  • Attending multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Completing reports and supporting the Registered Manager in day-to-day management.
  • Participating in the on-call rota (subject to service needs).

About the Role

Deputy Service Managers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We're currently searching for a fantastic Deputy Service Manager to join us in leading our residential service in Dover. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

Responsibilities
  • Managing a team of colleagues with the purpose of helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives.
  • Developing and implementing person centred support plans.
  • Conducting care needs assessments.
  • Recruiting and inducting new colleagues.
  • Completing medication competencies and medication audits.
  • Attending multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Completing reports and generally assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our service.
  • Participating in the on-call rota (subject to change depending on the needs of the service).
Qualifications

Previous experience in a care management role and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care.

Required Skills
  • Experience working with individuals with autism.
  • Experience with acquired brain injury.
  • Experience with complex individuals with mental health needs.
  • Experience with traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
Preferred Skills
