Job summary

Healthcare Homes Bilney Hall in Dereham, Norfolk, is seeking a Deputy Manager to help lead our caring team in a village setting.

You will support the home manager, oversee medication administration, and ensure high standards of person-centred care in line with MCA/DoLs and CQC expectations. We offer a thorough induction, extensive training, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of healthcare practices.
• Experience in writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks (MCA/DoLs) and CQC expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support the home manager in all aspects of the home, including taking temporary charge in the manager's absence.
• Support with systems and procedures to ensure high-quality care.
• Manage and monitor planning and delivery of all medication across the home.
• Audit care areas and contribute to disseminating results with action plans.
• Update and maintain resident care plans, liaising with external parties as applicable.
• Coach, support and inspire the care team to deliver high standards of care.

Deputy Manager

Bilney Hall, Dereham, Norfolk

£16.40 per hour

36 hours per week - 4 days per week, occasional weekend working

Bilney Hall is situated in the picturesque village of East Bilney and is surrounded by six acres of secluded land. The gardens are very special and feature ancient vines, Spanish apple trees, honey bee hives and more. The home enjoys celebrating its history and within the home is a board telling you all about the building.

What would a typical day look like?

• Supporting the home manager in all aspects of the home including taking temporary charge in the managers absence
• Supporting with systems and procedures to ensure the quality of care delivered is of a high standard
• Managing and monitoring the planning and delivery of all medication across the home
• Taking an active role in auditing specific areas of care and contributing to disseminating results and an action plan
• Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable
• Coaching, supporting and inspiring our care team to deliver a high standard of care at all times

Our management team are the life and soul of our home and it is essential that you would have up to date knowledge of healthcare practices and experience in writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans. A good understanding of regulatory frameworks including MCA/DoLs and the CQC key line of enquiries is also essential.
