Job summary

Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Lead Pharmacy Technician to support Cancer Protocols, Electronic Prescribing Systems and Aseptic Outsourcing. The role focuses on governance, SACT protocol management and technical checking within a hospital cancer services setting.

The postholder will work across cross-site locations, contribute to staff training, and participate in audits and quality improvement to ensure safe, timely cancer care.

Qualifications

Registered Pharmacy Technician with hospital pharmacy experience.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Interest in cancer services, digital systems, governance and service transformation.

Responsibilities

Support maintenance, review and amendment of SACT protocols within Trust electronic prescribing systems (MOSAIQ and Epic).
Undertake technical accuracy checking of Ready to Administer SACT preparations.
Support training, supervision and development of pharmacy staff within Cancer Services.
Contribute to audits, KPIs, quality improvement and service development.
