Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Lead Pharmacy Technician for Cancer Protocols, Electronic Prescribing Systems and Aseptic Outsourcing. The role supports safe delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy across oncology and haematology.

The post holder will ensure protocol governance, accuracy checks and training for cancer services, with cross-site duties at Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals.

Qualifications

• Extensive post-qualified hospital aseptic pharmacy experience.
• Experience of education & training or mentoring of pharmacy staff.
• Experience of developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures.
• Experience of multidisciplinary and/or collaborative working.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and continuous improvement of a high-quality Cancer Pharmacy service.
• Manage SACT protocol review within Trust electronic prescribing systems (MOSAIQ/Epic).
• Undertake technical accuracy checking of Ready to Administer SACT preparations.
• Train and supervise cancer services pharmacy staff and contribute to audits and governance.
