University Hospitals Dorset is seeking a Deputy Lead Pharmacy Technician to support Cancer Protocols, SACT checking and electronic prescribing systems across multiple sites in Poole. The role emphasizes governance, training and service improvement within the Cancer Pharmacy team.

The post requires GPhC registration, hospital experience and interest in cancer services, with base locations at Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital. Interview date 22 October 2026.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration is required.
• Accredited Pre and In-Process checking (PIPC) within Aseptic Services desired.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy and cancer services is preferred.
• Experience in education, training or mentoring of pharmacy staff is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Support delivery and improvement of Cancer Pharmacy service.
• Maintain and amend SACT protocols within MOSAIQ and Epic.
• Technical accuracy checking of Ready to Administer SACT preparations.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, aseptic services and nursing staff.
