Orders of St. John Care Trust is seeking a Deputy Home Manager for Sir Aubrey Ward House in Marlow. This role involves supporting the Home Manager with rota planning, recruitment and staff training while maintaining high care standards and occupancy targets.

Sir Aubrey Ward House is a warm, spacious and cheerful residential care home inMarlow town centre, with 60 fully furnished individual rooms located in four separate wings. There are plenty offacilities , and communal and outdoor spaces, including lovely first-floor balconies and an enclosed courtyard garden where residents can relax and participate in outdoor activities.

As Deputy Home Manager, you’ll support the Home Manager with the management of the Home. Specifically, you’ll be responsible for rota planning, employee recruitment and both induction and mandatory training, ensuring that the needs of our residents are recognised, assessed and met where possible. You’ll also monitor and manage individual employee performance to ensure standards are upheld, addressing any issues as they arise through the appropriate channels.

You’ll have a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and be willing to work towards Level 4 or 5. In addition, y ou’ll have previous management experience in a elderly care setting with a willingness to roll your sleeves up and work as a proactive team member, together with some marketing and finance experience to help grow occupancy and manage costs. Alongside this, you’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and will be committed to promoting and developing the highest standards of care.
