Job summary

Orders of St. John Care Trust (OSJCT) is recruiting a Deputy Home Manager for The Lakes Care Centre in South Cerney, Gloucestershire. This full-time post offers 37.5 hours per week, with occasional on-call duties and weekend work.

You will support the Home Manager with rota planning, recruitment and induction training, ensuring high standards of care, occupancy and cost control. A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is required, with progression to Levels 4/5.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and be willing to work towards Level 4 or 5.
• Previous management experience in a elderly care setting with a willingness to roll your sleeves up and work as a proactive team member.
• Some marketing and finance experience to help grow occupancy and manage costs.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Committed to promoting and developing the highest standards of care.

Deputy Home Manager

Location: The Lakes Care Centre, South Cerney, Gloucestershire

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Mon-Fri including some on-call responsibility and weekend working.

Salary: £43,000 per annum

Are you a passionate Deputy Home Manager, motivated and driven to make a difference?

Can you combine your exceptional care skills with the commercial acumen needed to manage occupancy levels, care standards and your team in the home?

As Deputy Home Manager, you’ll support the Home Manager with the management of the Home. Specifically, you’ll be responsible for rota planning, employee recruitment and both induction and mandatory training, ensuring that the needs of our residents are recognised, assessed and met where possible. You’ll also monitor and manage individual employee performance to ensure standards are upheld, addressing any issues as they arise through the appropriate channels.

The Lakes is a 64 bed Care Home situated in South Cerney, Cirencester. The home offers Day, Respite, Residential and Dementia care in a comfortable, homely setting. We’re rated 9.8 Carehome.co.uk and Good by the Care Quality Commission.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll have a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and be willing to work towards Level 4 or 5. In addition, y ou’ll have previous management experience in a elderly care setting with a willingness to roll your sleeves up and work as a proactive team member, together with some marketing and finance experience to help grow occupancy and manage costs.
