1a Upper Brighton Road, Surbiton, Surrey, United Kingdom, KT6 6LQ, is seeking a Deputy Home Manager to support a learning disability and autism service. You will work 37.5 hours per week, mainly weekdays, 9am to 4:30pm, with some flexibility to cover on-call duties and weekends as needed.
You will assist the Home Manager with strategic development, staffing, and ensuring high-quality care while helping residents lead more independent lives in the community.

Working 37.5 hours a week, you will provide support to people who may be living with severe learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge. The service users may also have profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical health problems.
From facilitating the development of a quality social care service to meeting financial targets to deputising as the service lead, including on call duties, you will be the Home Managers right-hand person, ensuring the smooth running of the service.
With experience from within the care sector as a senior employee, you will assist with the strategic development of the care home, which will see you abide by and work towards Elysium’s objectives and business plans.
You will support the Home Manager to lead the team in providing high-quality care and support to people with Learning Disabilities and Autism, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork.
Working 37.5 hours per week, mainly weekdays, 9am to 4:30pm , but would expect some flexibility across 7 days depending on the needs of the service at the time.

1a Upper Brighton Road provides a specialist residential service for adults of all gender identities who have a learning disability, or who are autistic, and have behaviours which, due to their diagnosis may be of concern/distress. Residents may also have profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical health problems.
The aim of the service is to encourage individuals to lead a full and purposeful life, enabling them to live more independently in the heart of the community. This is achieved through a programme of active community engagement, that promotes meaningful social networks and the development of bespoke coping strategies.
This also supports developing further independence and social skills, including participating in meal preparation, learning about safety measures both in their environment and out in the community.
