Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Deputy Headteacher for a SEND school to provide strategic leadership, foster inclusion and raise pupil outcomes.

You will lead safeguarding, staff development and engagement with families and external agencies, shaping the school's long-term vision and ensuring outstanding education for every pupil.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven leadership and school improvement experience
  • Strong knowledge of SEND, inclusion and adaptive teaching strategies
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Strategic thinking with strong operational leadership
  • Experience in specialist education, SEND or SEMH is advantageous

Job description

Deputy Headteacher – SEND School

Salary: £58,400 to £65,000 per annum

Contract: Full Time | Permanent | Birmingham

The Role

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A successful track record of leadership and school improvement
  • Strong knowledge of SEND, inclusion and adaptive teaching strategies
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong operational leadership
  • Experience within specialist education, SEND, or SEMH settings would be advantageous
Duties
