Deputy Head Teacher - Teaching & Learning - with 0.5 teaching commitment
The Governors of North Ferriby Primary School wish to appoint a Deputy Head for Teaching and Learning with a 0.5 teaching commitment.
We are a school renowned for its caring and welcoming ethos, a Christian school with children at its heart' reflecting our values, chosen by the school community, friendship, courage, perseverance and respect. We aim high, looking to prepare pupils for their futures as healthy and safe, thoughtful, enterprising and creative members of their community.
Over the past few years the school has gone from strength to strength with sustained high performance in external tests, increased opportunities for learning beyond the school day and beyond the confines of the traditional classroom as well as the setting up of a Nurture Unit to support the additional needs of some of our children. We are now oversubscribed and parents tell us that they are very happy with what we strive to do to ensure that all children of all abilities are able to achieve their full potential.
We are looking for a leader who can build on these successes, working with the Headteacher and governors to deliver the next phase of our School Improvement Plan, through their character, skills, experience, compassion and energy and help us meet the challenges of modern education and society in the coming years.
Please see the attached candidate pack for more information, the job outline and personal specification.
We are encouraging candidates to visit us and see how special North Ferriby CE Primary is and to explore how they might play their part. I have arranged for visits to the school to take place Wednesday 11th June at 4.30pm or Wednesday 16th June at 5pm. Please contact our Business Manager, Mrs. Laughton on 01482 631200 or northferriby.primary@eastriding.gov.uk to book a visit.
