GSL Education are seeking an exceptional and visionary Headteacher to lead an inclusive, nurturing, and ambitious learning community in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, for an Immediate or September 2025 start.

Headteacher Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership to deliver outstanding educational outcomes for all pupils.
• Foster a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Inspire, lead and develop a strong team of teaching and support staff.
• Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners.
• Ensure effective safeguarding policies and practices are embedded across the school.
• Manage school resources efficiently, including budget, staffing, and facilities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, governors, and external stakeholders.
• Promote the school within the local community and uphold its values and vision.

Headteacher Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial teaching experience.
• Proven leadership experience at senior level (Headteacher, Deputy Head, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated success in school improvement.
• Deep understanding of safeguarding, SEND, behaviour management, and curriculum development.
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage resources effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
• Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
