Job summary

Education Experts in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Deputy Headteacher for the upcoming academic year to support a primary school, including nursery, in the North Birmingham area (B23). The role offers temporary and long-term cover starting in September 2026.

This leadership role can be part-time or full-time, with a minimum commitment of two days per week, ideally Monday and Wednesday. Salary is Level 4 (£285.88 to £295.88 per day), with a clear process for interview and registration

Qualifications

  • UK based teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Substantial experience in a primary education setting.
  • Valid right to work in the UK and a valid Enhanced DBS.
  • Exceptional references.

Responsibilities

  • Support school operations and pupil progress under SLT guidance.
  • Lead curriculum delivery and monitor pupil progress.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team to ensure smooth running.
