Education Experts is seeking an experienced Assistant Headteacher to lead secondary education on an interim basis. The role is full-time with immediate start and a focus on attendance and pastoral support within a large secondary academy in West Yorkshire.

Accommodation costs may be provided for non-local candidates. The position offers a daily rate at scale (L16) and runs until at least Easter 2027, with a potential extension across the academic year.

• Substantial experience working within a UK based secondary school education setting.

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced Assistant Headteacher with exceptional skills in leading secondary education for a new interim job opportunity. If you are a secondary school specialist senior leader seeking an interim leadership job either immediately or from January 2027, we would be keen to speak with you.

We are a Lot 1 Agency Supplier on the GCA Framework and as such, have been appointed by a growing, Multi Academy Trust in the West Yorkshire (BD13) area to assist them with some immediately available interim vacancies.

This Assistant Headteacher role is available immediately on a full-time, interim basis and will be offered until at least Easter 2027 with the potential to extend across the whole academic year. The site is a large, oversubscribed secondary academy with around 1,100 to 1,300 pupils. Currently navigating a period of change, and recently having completed their Ofsted, the Multi Academy Trust are seeking a strong senior leader to support the school particularly in areas such as attendance and pastoral. We are able to offer a daily rate paid to scale from day one at L16 and the trust is also in a position to offer accommodation costs for a candidate who may not be local to the school.
