Job summary

Health Innovation East Midlands (HIEM) seeks a Deputy Head of Programme Delivery to drive large-scale transformation across NHS and partner organisations. You will lead teams, oversee governance, and shape programmes focused on safety, quality improvement, and adoption of innovations across the East Midlands and beyond.

The role is full-time and permanent, with a six-month probation. Hybrid working from our Nottingham base and travel across regions may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale transformation or improvement programmes in the public sector.
• Strong knowledge of quality improvement methods and patient safety.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and delivery of complex programmes across health systems.
• Ensure programmes meet objectives, timescales, budgets and quality standards.
• Develop programme plans, evaluation frameworks and sustainability strategies.
• Support adoption and spread of innovations across NHS networks.
