BaxterStorey is hiring a Deputy General Manager for a premium London contract. You will collaborate with the management team to deliver outstanding catering and hospitality experiences, leading a skilled team and ensuring seamless service during peak times and events.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisory experience within catering, hospitality or a similar fast-paced environment.
• Strong events management experience.
• A genuine passion for food, service and the customer experience.
• A visible, hands-on leadership style.
• The ability to inspire, motivate and develop a team.
• A commercial mindset and an eye for detail.
• Confidence building strong relationships with clients, customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in delivering an outstanding catering and hospitality experience.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team, creating a positive and high-performing working environment.
• Take a visible, hands-on approach, supporting the operation during busy service periods and events.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver a variety of events, ensuring they run smoothly from initial preparation through to delivery.
• Maintain consistently high standards of food presentation, service and customer experience.
• Build strong relationships with the client, customers and key stakeholders.
• Support team training, development and performance, helping colleagues reach their full potential.
• Support the commercial performance of the contract, identifying opportunities to drive sales and manage costs effectively.
• Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, health and safety and operational compliance.
• Respond quickly and positively to changing operational requirements and customer needs.
• Support continuous improvement, bringing new ideas and creativity to the catering, hospitality and events offer.
