Job summary

Heartwood Inns in Weybridge is seeking a Deputy General Manager to lead our busy pub/brasserie site, driving guest experience and team performance.

The role offers a 48-hour week contract with a competitive package including TRONC, plus development through our Stepping Stones programme and access to benefits like EarlyPay and enhanced family leave.

Qualifications

• Experience running a hospitality site with leadership responsibilities.
• 2-3 years' experience as a Deputy General Manager or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of branded operations and basic financial implications for site performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee all hospitality functions (bar, host stand, reception) with a proven leadership track record.
• Assume duties of a General Manager when required, including financial oversight and site performance.
• Provide training and support to other managers and team members to ensure consistent guest experiences.

Deputy General Manager - About You

• Passionate and vibrant personality, a real people person who cares for the guests, team and experience
• Clear track record of assisting in running a site and/ or fresh food restaurant experience and delivering training and support to other managers and team members
• Able to run all different aspects of hospitality, including bar, host stand (and reception for rooms site), with a proven record of leadership skills
• 2-3 years' experience as a Deputy General Manager, with knowledge of branded operations
• Taking on the responsibilities of a General Manager with an understanding of financial aspects and the requirements of running a site
