Job summary

Company of Cooks in London is seeking a Deputy General Manager to lead front-of-house teams and uphold service excellence across the site.

You will drive guest satisfaction, training and safety, collaborate with kitchen and HRP partners, and work 40 hours over 5 days at £39,400 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience leading front-of-house teams.
• Proven ability to maintain high service standards.
• Experience in onboarding and staff development.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.

• Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate and coach front-of-house teams to ensure productivity and service.
• Service Standards: Maintain high standards of food presentation, speed, cleanliness and care.
• Training and Development: Support onboarding and ongoing training of staff.
• Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergens, safety protocols.
• Guest Experience: Be on the floor, resolve issues and foster warmth and hospitality.
• Collaboration: Liaise with kitchen, logistics and HRP to maintain smooth operations.

Location: London,

Salary: £39400 per annum

Working Pattern: 5 over 7 days, 40 hours per week

Key responsibilities:

• Team Leadership Supervise, motivate, and coach front-of-house teams to ensure productivity, high morale, and exceptional service delivery.


• Service Standards Maintain high standards of food presentation, speed of service, cleanliness, and customer care in line with Compass and HRP expectations.


• Training and Development Support the onboarding, induction, and continuous training of new and existing team members, promoting a culture of learning and service excellence.


• Health & Safety Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, allergen, health & safety, and risk assessment protocols on-site.


• Guest Experience Be present on the floor, resolving issues, gathering guest feedback, and fostering an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality.


• Collaboration Liaise with kitchen, logistics, and HRP partners to maintain efficient, seamless operations across the site.
