Job summary

Gather & Gather UK is hiring a Chef Manager for a 24-hour catering facility in Hatfield. You will lead a team of 10, manage day-to-day operations across breakfast, lunch, dinner and night service, and ensure quality food and safe service.

The role offers a salary of £38,000 per annum with Monday-Friday shifts and some weekends, plus benefits including life assurance, pension, holiday allowance and wellbeing support.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of a 24-hour catering facility serving 400-500 covers daily across breakfast, lunch, evening, and night services.
• Lead a team of 10, including an Assistant Chef and General Assistants.
• Deliver a high-quality food offer including mains, salads, breakfasts, and snacks.
• Oversee menu planning, food safety, Health & Safety, stock control, and compliance.
• Drive profit protection through waste reduction, cost control, and labour management.
• Maintain excellent service standards and client satisfaction while ensuring operational efficiency.

Salary: £38,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: Predominantly Monday-Friday with occasional weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of a 24-hour catering facility serving 400-500 covers daily across breakfast, lunch, evening, and night services.
• Lead a team of 10, including an Assistant Chef and General Assistants.
