Job summary

Ham Yard Hotel, part of the Firmdale Hotels collection, is seeking a dynamic Deputy General Manager to lead our luxury property in London. You will oversee Events, F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Security and Kitchens, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and seamless daily operations.

Working with the General Manager, you will recruit, coach and develop teams, uphold high service standards, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while driving excellence

• Experience in a high-end hotel as Hotel Manager or Deputy GM.

Working alongside the General Manager, you’ll play a key part in running the hotel. You’ll lead the operational success of Events, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Security and the Kitchens. You’ll:

Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all departments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
• Foster a positive work environment, manage recruitment and training, and support staff development.
• Ensure adherence to all statutory and legal requirements, including fire, hygiene, health and safety, and employment laws.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to deliver seamless service and guest satisfaction, and attend key meetings in their absence.

What you Need:

• Previous experience in a high-end hotel as a Hotel Manager or Deputy General Manager.
• A hands‑on approach with the ability to assist with daily operations.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills to inspire and guide your team.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
• The ability to perform well under pressure in a busy environment.
• A genuine passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to drive the hotel's success.
• A deep understanding of current hospitality trends and competitor landscapes.
