Job summary

The Westin London City, a 4C Group property, seeks a Deputy Food & Beverage Outlets Manager in London to oversee all F&B outlets, supporting service teams and ensuring brand standards are met.

You will report to the General Manager, Bars & Restaurants, lead shifts, and drive exceptional guest service while complying with safety requirements. The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in Food & Beverage, assistant management or management roles in hotels.
• Strong leadership and shift management skills.
• Excellent communication and team management abilities.
• Good organisational and guest service knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational presence across all Food & Beverage outlets.
• Provide hands-on support to outlet teams during service, particularly at peak times.
• Ensure outlets operate per hotel procedures, brand standards and service expectations.
• Assist with rota planning and deployment of staff.
• Lead and motivate F&B colleagues to achieve department objectives and five-star service.
• Maintain communication with other hotel departments for a seamless guest journey.
• Support the General Manager in achieving revenue and budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety and licensing requirements.
• Act as a point of contact for operational matters within the F&B department.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DEPUTY FOOD & BEVERAGE OUTLETS MANAGER AT THE WESTIN LONDON CITY

In this role you will report to the General Manager, Bars & Restaurants

What you'll be doing...

• Maintain a strong operational presence across all Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
• Provide hands-on support to outlet teams during service, particularly during peak periods and periods of high occupancy.
• Ensure that all outlets operate in accordance with hotel procedures, brand standards and established service expectations.
• Assist with rota planning, shift allocation and the effective deployment of colleagues according to business needs.
• Lead, motivate and support Food & Beverage colleagues to achieve departmental objectives and promote a positive, professional and collaborative working envionment
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional five-star service in line with The Westin brand standards.
• Maintain effective communication with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest journey.
• Support the General Manager in achieving departmental revenue, profitability and budgetary objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety, food safety, hygiene and licensing requirements.
• Act as a key point of contact for operational matters within the Food & Beverage department when required.

What We Need From You

We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements...

• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage, assistant management or management role, preferably within a four- or five-star hotel is preferable
• Experience supporting or managing multiple Food & Beverage outlets.
• Strong operational leadership skills and the ability to lead shifts independently.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team management skills.
• A strong understanding of guest service, hospitality standards and service recovery.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Proactive, organised and solutions-oriented.
• A strong team player who leads by example and takes ownership of responsibilities.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Additional languages are advantageous.
