About the role
Due to an internal promotion within the team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Finance Manager to join our team, supporting the Finance Manager. You would be joining a friendly and welcoming team of 10, in a rewarding environment, as part of the social housing sector.
The ideal candidate will have experience of preparing budgets and forecasts, as well as delivering effective finance business partnering. You will be self-motivated and have good attention to detail, enabling you to maintain a high quality of outputs whilst meeting tight deadlines. Good communication is essential as you will be working closely with the Finance Manager, providing cover in their absence.
Key responsibilities will include:
Business partnering service to our Resources, Assets and Property Services teams, being the main contact and providing financial expertise and guidance to support business objectives.
Producing accurate and timely budgets and forecasts, and variance analysis to evaluate financial performance.
Support with the production of statutory accounts, and preparation of annual data returns to the Regulator of Social Housing.
Provide oversight of the KPIs, ensuring they are presented in a meaningful way, with commentary that is clear and insightful.
Act as main point of contact for the team in the absence of the Finance Manager.
Manage and develop the Finance Assistant, supporting them with the business partnering of the Housing and Executive teams.
Role model Cottsway’s behaviours, ensuring a high-quality service that is right first time.
A DBS check will be required for the successful applicant as part of our pre-employment checks.
