Hours: 35 contracted hours per week
Salary: Up to £47,483.63 per annum (Including Geographical Allowance)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Finance Manager (Maternity Cover) at Advance on a fixed term contract up to six months. Advance is a specialist supported housing association that is on an exciting journey to deliver more services and develop more housing for people with learning difficulties, disabilities and supporting people towards greater independent living.
The role of an Assistant Finance Manager will include:
Ensuring that the processes for purchase ledger (including P2P) and expenses, direct debit and standing order, and debit/credit card operate efficiently and accurately, and that accurate bank reconciliations are completed on a timely and efficient basis.
Advising Senior Housing Managers on how they use the performance information to improve the efficiency and in producing financial forecasts.
Providing information to Housing Managers on performance against targets for component replacement programme. This will include a comparison of actual cost to target price and the impact on budgets.
Providing expert advice and support to Property Services officers and Administrators on allocation of jobs and services, monitoring allocation of costs.
Assisting Senior Housing Managers in monitoring their budgets ensuring expenditure is controlled in accordance with the budget, procedures, levels of delegated authority and financial control/audit requirements.
Supporting the Head of Property Services in creating an annual budget, including direct, indirect costs and overheads.
Having responsibility for the co-ordination of the overall annual budget for Property Services for the provision of services carried out by external contractors.
Ensuring Advance’s quarterly VAT return is completed accurately and on time.
Ensuring monthly bank reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
Line Management of the Purchase Ledger Supervisor and Housing Assistant Accountant.
