We have a team of Clinical Educators working across the Trust, supporting education in practice at all levels, from the Care Certificate to Advanced Clinical Practice programmes.
We are seeking a motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Band 6 Deputy Clinical Educator in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate will be eager to work with individual learners and ensure that teams and services have access to necessary education to deliver evidence-based practice that meets or exceeds national standards. You will provide clinical education expertise to assist Team Leads and Ward Managers in optimising education resources, attracting, recruiting, and retaining staff, and developing learners to provide optimal care.
You will be part of a team promoting a learning culture across the Trust and will be the designated person responsible for all aspects of non-medical clinical education within a specific geographic or service area.

The post involves supporting clinical education across defined services, working with Heads of Clinical Education and Clinical Educators to identify training needs, developing education solutions, and supporting students and the preceptorship process. The role includes maintaining relationships with universities, supporting staff in completing the Care Certificate, and promoting professional development.
Essential: Degree or equivalent experience, Student Supervisor/Assessor training, Current NMC registration, Registered Nurse (Mental health)
Desirable: Further qualifications in Education
Essential: Managing CPD, supervising students
Desirable: Liaising with organizations and agencies
Ability to identify development needs, plan workload, make decisions, communicate effectively, understand nursing career pathways, and possess advanced IT skills.
Good communication skills, responsibility, and decision-making ability.
