Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The Nursing Midwifery and AHP (NMAHP) Directorate function is to support the education, training and continuing professional development of nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, health and social care chaplains and their support workers. The Directorate is also responsible for providing education, training and workforce development across wider professional groups and disciplines, often in partnership with other agencies, to support key policy imperatives such as public health, health protection, Infection prevention and control (IPC), dementia and health and social care integration.
The Opportunity :
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team who develop and maintain an IPC education programme which has the largest and most utilized product estate on the TURAS Learn platform. This programme of learning supports staff within health and social care settings with the knowledge and skills to practice safely and effectively in terms of IPC and reduce the risk of infections to themselves and those they care for. Reporting to the Head of Programme, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the governance and up-dating of the IPC educational resources on Turas Learn, working within the IPC Team and with the wider IPC stakeholders across health and social care.
Do you want to support our health and social care staff with their knowledge and skills of IPC to enable them to provide safe, effective care?
Do you enjoy collaborating and working in partnership with colleagues to co-develop innovative solutions?
Do you enjoy rising to the progress the workforce education needs in terms of IPC in a complex and political landscape?
Do you have a passion for programme management and quality improvement?
Does this sound like you?
