As Deputy Business Unit Manager, you will support the delivery of operational, commercial, and financial performance across a multi-functional port operation. Working closely with the Business Unit Manager, you will drive a strong safety culture, lead and develop teams, improve operational efficiency, and ensure excellent customer service. You will play a key role in achieving business objectives through effective stakeholder management, performance monitoring, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and the delivery of revenue and profitability targets.
You will bring proven leadership and coaching experience, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams. A strong communicator and collaborative team player, you will have experience in driving health, safety and environmental standards, leading change initiatives, and delivering operational and commercial objectives. Experience working with Trade Unions is desirable, and an IOSH Managing Safely qualification would be advantageous.
