Job description

Job Title: Deputy Head Teacher

We are seeking enthusiastic teachers committed to excellence to work in a dynamic part of Scotland. You will support the Head Teacher in their duties, assist, and where necessary, deputise for the Head Teacher in leading and managing school affairs.

As part of the Senior Management Team, you will lead and manage whole school policy, its implementation, and evaluation. You will support the management and development of the school curriculum, learning, and teaching provision to promote improved educational outcomes.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Requirements

• This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
• If the candidate has spent 3 or more months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
• Employment is contingent on satisfactory pre-employment checks.
• Salary will be in accordance with SNCT agreements.

• The grade for this position may change annually, effective from 1st August each year.
