A leading educational institution in Scotland is seeking a Depute Head Teacher for Castlebay Secondary School. This permanent, full-time role involves assisting the Headteacher, leading school management, and ensuring high educational standards. £63,879 per annum (Point 3 of the DHT/HT Scale) plus £2,742 Distant Islands Allowance per annum
The role of the Depute Head Teacher is to assist and, where necessary, deputise for the Headteacher in the conduct of the school's affairs. The Depute must work closely with the Headteacher in all aspects of school life, be capable of making decisions in their absence, and take a lead role in assigned tasks related to the development priorities of the school.
The GTCS Standard for Headship applies to these duties.

Applicants must have experience in a promoted role at Principal Teacher level or above.
Essential qualifications include a University Degree, certification from a Teacher Education Institution or College Diploma for Teaching, and GTC Scotland Registration.
This position requires membership of the PVG Scheme for regulated work with children.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary aligned with current regulations plus a £2,859 Distant Islands Allowance.
