Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Rugby Borough Council for a Waste & Street Cleansing Supervisor to lead operational teams delivering the Council's recycling, refuse, and street cleansing services. This role ensures services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, in line with legislation and performance targets.

• Proven experience supervising operational teams in waste management or street cleansing.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of recycling, refuse, and street cleansing services and contracts.
• Organise and monitor staff to ensure compliance.
• Respond to and resolve customer complaints promptly following council procedures.
• Liaise with councillors, officers, and other council departments to maintain service quality.
• Provide accurate data reports and monitor performance.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained.

This role ensures services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, in line with legislation, council policies, and performance targets.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:Oversee day-to-day delivery of recycling, refuse, and street cleansing services and contracts, ensuring services run on time and within budget.Organise and conduct scheduled and monitoring of staff to ensure compliance.Respond to and resolve customer complaints promptly, following council procedures.Liaise effectively with councillors, officers, and other council departments to maintain service quality.Communicate clearly and professionally with the public, maintaining a positive council image.Financials including monitoring of operational costs and purchasingEnsure vehicles and equipment are used and maintained correctlyProvide accurate data reportsMonitor work quality, team performance and oversee the use of agency staff
