Job summary

DPD Group UK is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen depot operations at Feltham. You will work closely with Owner Drivers and Employed Drivers to keep them engaged, motivated and ensure outstanding service.

You will lead KPI setting and performance monitoring, ensure safe loading, route planning, and efficient resourcing, with a focus on productivity and health and safety. A fast paced, supportive environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced operation with demonstrable people management responsibility.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage a team.
• Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution and time management skills.
• High levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
• Excellent computer skills with the ability to use Google Chrome applications and standard software.
• Ability to produce comprehensive reporting and analyze data as part of role.
• Vigilance to unscrupulous activity and swift action when needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure depot target for Core Routes is achieved.
• Ensure depot target Stops Per Route (SPR) is achieved.
• Set and optimise all delivery and collection routes.
• Oversee drivers as they scan and load vans for delivery.
• Maintain ongoing communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Ensure adequate resources for ad-hoc collections via drivers or couriers.
