Job summary

Veolia in Derby is seeking a Transport Supervisor to keep Quality, Health, Safety and Environment as the top priority in our transport operations. You will manage daily service delivery, plan routes, and stay in close contact with drivers throughout the day.

You will support the Service Manager with people management, deliver toolbox talks, investigate incidents, ensure compliance, and help drive depot KPI delivery.

Qualifications

• Understanding transport compliance and working knowledge of WTD.
• Strong communication with drivers, frontline staff and customers.
• Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at pace.
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO).
• Experience in managing transport compliance.
• Proficient IT skills, comfortable with Google operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Quality, Health, Safety and Environment remains the number one priority within the transport operation.
• Manage the service delivery on a daily basis, including dynamic planning of work to vehicles/routes.
• Maintain contact with drivers and communicate with customers; debrief.
• Ensure service excellence including delivery, recovery and communication of non-service lifts.
• Assist Service Manager to identify routing efficiencies and capacity.
• Deliver toolbox talks and conduct investigations as directed.
• Adhere to Operator Licence obligations and manage depot drivers.
• Work with Service Manager to deliver depot KPI's.
