Job summary

AO is seeking a PM Shift Supervisor to keep our self-loading depot running and ensure every delivery and installation is ready each morning. You will oversee vehicle safety, legality, and readiness, supporting Drivers and collaborating with Quality and People teams to keep operations moving at Bowden Terminal, Basildon.

In this role you will generate daily depot reports, verify transport compliance, manage training standards, and make operational decisions when the Depot Manager is absent,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transport legislation and logistics operations.
• Ability to build positive relationships under pressure.
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Clear and confident communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily in-house reports for the Depot Manager.
• Check all vehicles leaving the depot meet transport legislation and security requirements.
• Ensure all workers comply with training standards.
• Conduct alcohol testing when required.
• Communicate professionally with Drivers and resolve queries.
• Manage transhipping and reloads effectively.
• Make operational decisions in the absence of the Depot Manager.
